BETANIA XXI, Radio Maria England

Jose Miguel, Alexandra and Maria Antonieta, known as team J.A.M in their local parish in Aberdeen, are members of the newly established Public Association of the Faithful ‘Betania Spirituality Movement’.  Betania has been working for forty years evangelising and spreading devotion to Our Lady Reconciler of all People and Nations and her call to conversion and deepening of the faith. Their mission is to enkindle sacramental and family life. The movement was founded by Servant of God Maria Esperanza, the main visionary of the apparitions of Our Lady in Finca Betania, Venezuela. The apparitions received ecclesial approval in 1987.

Jose, Alexandra and Maria are the representatives of Betania XXI, a community set up to serve the United Kingdom. It is the youngest of the twenty Betania communities around the world. Betania XXI was officially born on 25th of March 2021.

They are volunteers for Radio Maria England and are actively working to open Radio Maria Scotland.

They will be presenting three Credo programmes, broadcasting live from Aberdeen.

The first of them entitled ‘Betania, A Little Piece of Heaven on Earth’ was broadcast on Tuesday 1st November 2022, the Solemnity of All Saints. They talked about the events that took place in Finca Betania: the apparition of the Virgin Mother Reconciler of All Nations and Nations, the pastoral letter of Bishop Pio Bello Ricardo approving the apparition, the Eucharistic Miracle and the messages of the Blessed Virgin.

The second programme is scheduled for Tuesday 22nd November 2022 from 8.30-9.30pm, the feast day of Saint Cecilia. It is entitled ‘Betania and the Servant of God Maria Esperanza’. They will talk about Maria’s life, the opening of her cause for beatification and her teachings.  Jose and Alexandra will also share their experiences of fourteen years of knowing Maria Esperanza.

The third programme will be on 20th December 2022 from 8.30-9.30pm and is entitled ‘The Grace of Betania’. Jose, Alexandra and Maria will talk about the fruits of the apparitions, the work of The Betania Choir, the Public Association of the faithful and the communities of Betania around the world  The main focus will be on the spirituality of the movement: Hope, joy, humility, balance, bamily life and evangelisation; as well as the four pillars of spiritual life.
