Russ Fairman featured on our Just Life programme on Monday, March 20th. He spoke about the forthcoming voyage around Great Britain with a replica of the Stella Maris icon. Round Britain Sailing Pilgrimage, celebrating Stella Maris’ 100+ years of Service to Seafarers & Fishers.
Between 29 April and 9 July, Russ Fairman, a supporter of Stella Maris (formerly known as Apostleship of the Sea), is organising a sailing pilgrimage around Britain, to celebrate this Catholic maritime charity, on his 35ft sail boat ‘Mintaka’. This voyage of 2200 miles, will take in 50 ports with as many crew changes, including special Sailing Pilgrimage services taking place at Walsingham and Cardigan Shrines, as well as at many other Holy Sites. You are warmly invited to attend a local event when the boat comes to your part of the coastline. The skipper is also inviting interested people to join him on the boat for a day or more on the voyage, no sailing experience is necessary, just bring a smile and a prayer.
