Mornings With Radio Maria – Guest – Dr Jess Beckett
Fertility Awareness Methods Coordinator for the diocese of East Anglia, Dr Jess Beckett shared the importance of supporting families who have had a miscarraige or may expereiencing infertility. She shared details of the upcoming mass at Our Lady Immaculate and St Etheldreda’s Church in Newmarket, as part of the Year of St Joseph. The Mass for those who have experienced miscarriagewill be on Sunday, 10 October at Noon followed by refreshments. All members of the family and supporters are welcome. There will also be a Mass for those affected by infertility, on Saturday November 6, at 11 am at Our Lady Immaculate and St Etheldreda’s Church in Newmarket.
Dr. Beckett joined the diocese in her role last year and has been supporting people in diocese with educating poeple about which method would best suit their circumstances and lifestyle. She hopes that this year’s intiative will become an annual event for the diocese and will encourage parishes to continue to pray for the families and perhaps create prayer and support groups at local levels. She wants couples affected by infertility to know they are not alone in their struggles and have the opportunity to share some of their experiences with others who understand. The diocese wants them to have spiritual support and know the options that the Church does endorse when it comes to treating infertility.
