Pentecost Novena with Thy Kingdom Come

Written by on 13/05/2021

Radio Maria England is pleased to be given permission to present Thy Kingdom Come as part of our Prayer Requests and Prayer for Today broadcasts starting on May 13th and continuing through Pentecost Sunday.  We will be broadcasting the Pentecost Novena during our Prayer for Today broadcast times daily at 12:02am, 3:28am, 6:25am and 3:38pm.

In a special message for the global prayer initiative ‘Thy Kingdom Come’, Cardinal Vincent Nichols has upheld two key pillars of the Christian faith – praying to the Holy Spirit for people to come to know Jesus Christ and the role of the Holy Spirit as ‘God’s power’ sustaining the created world.

“It’s the Holy Spirit that transformed what we call the ‘chaos’ into the ‘cosmos’ – the ordered world,” Cardinal Nichols says.  “In caring for the world, we care for each other. In caring for each other, we care for the Creator and show Him our respect, our deference, our service.  “May ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ be a prayer from our hearts that the Holy Spirit transforms us into servants of the word and servants of the created world made through the word Himself.”

Radio Maria England has also been given permission to broadcast Thy Kingdom Come’s audio series Journey With Mary, which focuses on prayer, particularly, on the days between and including the Ascension and Pentecost. As such, it is offered as a Catholic contribution to the Thy Kingdom Come prayer initiative.  This will be broadcast during our Prayer Request broadcast time daily at 3:10am.
