Radio Maria: Looking Back. Christmas Letter for Volunteers
Written by Radio Maria England on 23/12/2020
We all realise that this Christmas is unlike any other with its Covid-19 restrictions on gathering and travel, and this has caused frustration and disappointment. Although the media might wish to convince us otherwise Christmas celebrations are not primarily about presents but rather presence as we gather with friends and family. Our normal festivities have been disrupted this year but we are presented with an unexpected, although unwanted opportunity for reflection and thanksgiving.
Perhaps this Christmas, when we have been forced to slow down, we can take the opportunity to give thanks for all the good things of the past year and for me that would include the growth and development of Radio Maria England and for your ‘presence’ and contribution to this. There have of course been challenges and there is much still to do but we can give thanks for what we have achieved together. You, our wonderful volunteers and supporters, have played an important and essential role in our shared mission and the development of our Station. Whether you have helped with the studio and broadcasts, social media, websites and communication, programme development, scheduling, and editing, or praying and promotion your contribution is essential. It is together that we are the family of Radio Maria England.
On behalf of the staff, and Trustees, I want to thank each of you for your support and involvement and to wish each of you a very happy Christmas. May God richly bless you and your family.
