Science and Faith attends ECLAS Follow-up Conference

Written by on 16/10/2022

Recently, one of the co-directors of Faith Journeys in Science, Fr Robert Verrill, attended a conference organized by ECLAS (Equipping Christian Leadership in an Age of Science) in Durham. Last year, ECLAS gave a generous grant to Radio Maria to produce the Faith Journeys in Science series, so the conference was an opportunity to share with ECLAS how we’d spent their money.

Several other organizations which had received ECLAS grants were also present at the conference, so it was a great opportunity to exchange ideas on how to engage people’s interests in the relationship between science and faith.

The Science and Faith team will be back on the road from next week for their Universities Phase. The first event will take place at Durham University on October 23rd. Our accessible style is based around engaging in conversation with experienced Catholics whose lives have been touched by the interactions between science and faith. Our panelists include scientists, theologians and professors of various disciplines as well as students from the university we visit.
